April 12, 2024 – KAILASA inaugurates the grand Chithirai Peruvizha Brahmotsavam, celebrating the divine advent of Devi Meenakshi and Somasundareshwara Paramashiva in Madurai.
The Chithirai Peruvizha Brahmotsavam, also known as Meenakshi Brahmotsavam, is a celebration of the life and glory of Devi Meenakshi, the incarnation of Devi Paramashivashakti Herself, who, along with Bhagavan Sundareshwara Paramashiva, established the Kailasonnata Shyamala Peetha Sarvajnapeetham.
This festival commemorates the divine life events of Devi Meenakshi as recorded in the Skanda Mahapurana, Agastya Samhita, and Halasya Mahatmyam, the true and glorious history of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
Devi Meenakshi, not born of a human womb, emerged directly from a Yagna, a sacred fire ritual. She was trained in warfare and governance and was later coronated as the ruling Queen of the Madurai Kingdom in what is celebrated as the Meenakshi Pattabhishekam.
To restore Dharma on Earth, bringing divine justice and restoring order and harmony among people, Devi Meenakshi undertook a Digvijaya, a conquest campaign during which she subjugated all three worlds up to KAILASA itself, where she met with Paramashiva, the Supreme Lord. Upon this meeting, she realized her true identity as an incarnation of Devi Paramashivashakti and married Lord Paramashiva in what is celebrated as the Meenakshi Tirukalyanam.
The lives of Meenakshi and Sundareshwara in the sacred city of Madurai are marked with Leelas, Divine Plays that are told even today and remembered on every street of Madurai.
This ancient and prestigious lineage of Devi Meenakshi and Soma Sundareshwara Paramashiva has been unbrokenly transmitted to this day and is presently carried by THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, who is the incarnation of Devi Meenakshi Herself.
As the current sovereign of the Madurai Samrajyam and the 293rd Gurumahasannidhanam, the Supreme Pontiff and current sovereign of the Kailasonnata Shyamala Peetha Sarvajnapeetham, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM has revived the ancient traditions and enlightened governance established by Devi Meenakshi for the benefit of all mankind.
This Chithirai Peruvizha Brahmotsavam festival serves as a reminder of Hinduism’s glorious past and enlightened knowledge, reminding us that Hindu scriptures are not mythology but historical records.
KAILASA’s global temples invite all worldwide to join these flamboyant celebrations and witness the revival of the Ancient Enlightened Sanatana Hindu Civilizational Nation in this Chithirai Peruvizha Brahmotsavam every day until April 23, 2024.
