KAILASA is Represented at UN Youth Environment Program, Voices for Change: Driving Advocacy Through Eco-Spiritualities

UNEP Headquarters, Nairobi, February 17, 2024 – Diplomats of KAILASA represented KAILASA’s views on the environment at the UN Youth Environment program held at the UNEP Headquarters in Nairobi.

The Global Youth Environment Assembly (Global YEA) is a crucial platform that gathers young environmental enthusiasts and policy advocates from around the world to participate in policy discussions and knowledge-sharing. This year, it will culminate with the formulation of the Global Youth Declaration on Environment, which will be presented at the sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly.

The Global Youth Declaration (GYD) is a pivotal statement poised to represent the collective voice of youth from diverse regions, backgrounds, and perspectives, uniting in a resounding call for effective, inclusive, and sustainable global actions to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.

KAILASA’s diplomats presented solutions from Hinduism, the world’s most ancient civilization, and the model eco-friendly sustainable eco-systems established by THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM around the globe.

Hinduism fundamentally reveres all living and inanimate entities as manifestations of the Divine. The principle of Advaita, or Oneness, the inter-connectedness of all things, guides us to perceive the inherent divine nature of all things without discrimination, including animals and plants. In Hinduism, the Earth is worshiped as a living Goddess, respected and honored. In a practical application of this universal principle, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH) has restricted the use of plastic and other materials harmful to the environment in KAILASA’s ecosystems, preferring reusable, recyclable, or recycled materials and encouraging self-sustenance through organic farming. THE SPH has also launched the global Ishanya project that collects, recycles, and distributes medical equipment, food, and other commodities to communities in need in different regions of the world.

KAILASA stands unequivocally for the protection of the environment and the adoption of sustainable policies around the globe. In Voices for Change: Driving Advocacy through Eco-spiritualities, KAILASA contributes to global dialogue and policy-making on this pressing matter, taking concrete steps for effective change.
