The Press Secretary Office Response to The Washington Post

The Press Secretary Office Response to The Washington Post

Dear Washington Post,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of KAILASA in response to the article published on your website on 30 November 2023, and attributed to the Associated Press:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/11/30/kailasa-paraguay-india-hindu-chamorro/e21be51a-8fb4-11ee-95e1-edd75d825df0_story.html

While we acknowledge the vital role media plays in disseminating information, it is alarming to witness the media’s unethical stance and systematic disinformation campaign to misrepresent and perpetuate further persecution of our already marginalized and persecuted minority indigenous Hindu communities that are represented by KAILASA.

It is unfortunate that this article was published without contacting us. As a prominent media outlet, I am confident that the Washington Post understands that there are always two sides to the story. We would appreciate it if the Washington Post would, in the future, contact us to hear our side, prior to publishing articles like the above. We avail ourselves of this opportunity to set the record straight.

The Washington Post, by publishing this article, is undeniably responsible for furthering this one-sided disinformation campaign and inciting hate against our persecuted indigenous Hindu community. Disappointingly, this article was published on the Washington Post’s website without contacting us. Had that been done, we would have availed ourselves to set the record straight.

We strongly condemn any such Hinduphobic racist lawfare, and disinformation, systematically perpetrated through such articles, which as history has shown is a weapon that the imperial racists had perpetrated transnationally for thousands of years, which has displaced millions of Hindus pushing them into generations of homelessness and statelessness.   While the Washington Post may not be the original author and publisher of these articles, the Washington Post is responsible and accountable for the ramifications of hosting and disseminating disinformation carried through this article.

Violation of Ethics of Journalism & Article Falsehoods

Internationally it is recognized by various media self-regulatory bodies that ethics of journalism include, (1) Truth and Accuracy, (2)  Independence, (3) Fairness and Impartiality, (4) Humanity, and (5) Accountability. The article does not fall under any of the above-mentioned ethics of journalism.

For these serious violations of principles of journalist ethics and these serious instances of journalistic non-integrity in this article, we request to be immediately addressed by the authors, editors, and publishers (including the Washington Post, which is hosting and publishing this article).

  1. This Washington Post article falsely states, “… a fugitive Indian guru’s ….”, while referring to the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam.

The SPH Nithyananda Paramshivam is not a fugitive, the SPH is a persecuted individual whose basic human rights were denied, which is well documented with a plethora of evidence that can be shared with the Washington Post upon request.  To highlight a few points contrary to the Washington Post’s article,  Interpol has rejected any requests to issue any notices for the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam based on evidence that was presented to them (https://www.thenewsminute.com/karnataka/nithyananda-case-interpol-denies-issuing-blue-corner-noticee-fugitive-godman-172559), clearly establishing that the Washington Post’s above-quoted statements are not true.
  • Furthermore, a US court order exonerates the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam.
  • An Ohio (USA) Federal court ruled in favor of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam and fined the false victim nearly half a million dollars in fines (United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio, Case No. 2:13-CV-00526).
  • The omission of US Court orders that exonerate the SPH Nithyananda Paramshivam of the false accusations, and at the same time in sharp contrast, actively spreading disinformation in relation to the above-mentioned false accusations are strong indicators of journalistic non-integrity of the authors, the editors, and the publishers (including the Washington Post, which is hosting and publishing this article).
  1. The article falsely states, “Nithyananda, who is wanted in India on several charges, including sexual assault”
  • It is important to note that despite nearly fifteen years of malicious prosecution in India, SPH has not been convicted of any crime. The unproven allegations in India of rape are false and malicious.
  • Moreover, the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam has been proven innocent and exonerated in the US judiciary more than ten years ago.
  • The SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam is a persecuted individual whose basic human rights were denied and subject to more than a decade of lawfare.
  • An Ohio (USA) Federal court ruled in favor of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam and fined the false victim nearly half a million dollars in fines (United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio, Case No. 2:13-CV-00526).
  • Many prominent world-renowned human rights advocates like KC Geoffery Robertson, have given independent reports and legal opinions attesting to this. Mr. Robertson, KC stated: “Both A and B’s claims against PN were dismissed in US cases, with costs and, in A’s case, with damages. Further evidence emerged in the US proceedings to show that the allegations were false.”
  • The court ruled in favor of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam and fined the false rape accuser nearly half a million dollars in fines (USD 463,211 + attorney fees) for making false accusations of rape on the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam.
  1. Your article falsely stated, particularly referring to KAILASA as, a “fictional country”, “representatives of the fictional country”, “On Kailasa’s website, the fictional country is described as … ” etc.

Is Taiwan, Kosovo, or Palestine a state? Some would say yes and others would say no. What is incontrovertible is that self-determination is a human right, enshrined in many international instruments including the United Nations Charter. Another incontrovertible human right is the right to freedom of religion.

These are rights being exercised by all of KAILASA’s citizens. KAILASA may be less recognized compared to other states but that doesn’t deny the people of KAILASA from exercising their fundamental human rights and political rights of building diplomatic relations and recognition.

KAILASA is a sovereign entity as per international law.

KAILASA is a non-violent, humanitarian service-oriented nation and we are being hammered and  persecuted by Hinduphobic, Hindumisic, racist forces, denying us our right to exist, denying us our right to get recognition and denying us our right to survive.

RIGHTS TO SELF-DETERMINATION

  • People with a common origin, history, language, culture, customs, or religion can turn into a nation through the awakening of national consciousness. A nation can exist even without a state, as is exemplified by the stateless nations. Citizenship is not always the nationality of a person.
  • The United Nations’s International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), recognized by 178 nations, in its very first article declares, “All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.
  1. In your article it is stated, “who also appear to have duped several local officials”, further in the article it is falsely stated, “he signed a memorandum of understanding with representatives”.
  • The document reference was not a memorandum of understanding, but a proclamation. As it is a proclamation, there is nothing that KAILASA receives in return. Furthermore, even a MoU would have been merely a statement of the possibility of contributions in the future. However, KAILASA, without any vested interests, without anything to gain, without any obligation to contribute, completely selflessly has already contributed 3 million PYG worth of medical aid to support the people in the said local community in Paraguay.
  • KAILASA’s humanitarian aid is not gathered through taxes as how most established nations would but is instead raised through hard work and sacrifices of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam, and contributions of hard-working individuals of a persecuted minority indigenous community that are inspired to do the same witnessing the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam’s relentless sacrifices and unshakable commitment towards this mission.
  • See response to Point 3
  1. In your article it is stated, “acknowledged it had gotten scammed when it signed a sister city agreement with Kailasa.”
  • KAILASA is a sovereign entity as per international law. KAILASA is the Revival of the Ancient Enlightened Hindu Civilizational Nation which is being revived by displaced Hindus from around the world.
  • KAILASA is a recognized international body and has established bilateral relations and has not scammed anyone. Organizations and institutions representing KAILASA, have established diplomatic relationships with many cities, states, constituencies, municipalities around the world, bridging cultures, encouraging interreligious dialogue, and continuing our Hindu-based humanitarian services and to promote global peace through better understanding of diverse cultures.
  • On November 09, 2023, KAILASA contributed 3 million PYG worth of medical aid to support the people of Paraguay. KAILASA is committed to more such contributions. However, it is unfortunate that through Hinduphobic racist articles media such as the Washington Post has derailed these humanitarian services that KAILASA is committed to.
  • KAILASA is committed to making more such contributions. However, it is unfortunate that through Hinduphobic racist articles, the media has derailed these humanitarian services that KAILASA is committed to. The Washington Post, by hosting and publishing this article has extraordinarily amplified this systematic persecution.
  • Instead of recognizing these extraordinary contributions, the authors, published (including the Washington Post by hosting and publishing this article) have put systematic and focused efforts into perpetuating deeply harmful disinformation that directly harms the vulnerable community who are beneficiaries of KAILASA humanitarian aid.
  • See response to Point 3

Call for Unambiguous Apology and Correction

We demand a sincere and unambiguous apology for the blatant inaccuracies presented in your articles and publications. A correction or clarification acknowledging the false information and providing accurate details about KAILASA is imperative to rectify the harm caused.

Your role as a responsible media entity obliges you to act in the public interest and uphold journalistic integrity. We anticipate your prompt cooperation in setting the record straight and, in doing so, cease the perpetuation of harmful narratives.

We are open to further discussions, and providing additional information. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. We expect a resolute and corrective response. We have enclosed further historical information and evidence supporting the points made in our above letter.

Historical References: Systematic, Racist Misinformation Undermining Profound Contributions

Around 3200 BCE, 56 such Hindu nations spanned over 6 million Km2 of Asia and protected the civil, political, religious, and human rights of 10,000 indigenous minority communities. The Hindu Holocaust – is the biggest physical and cultural genocide of indigenous people on the planet Earth, where more than 500 million indigenous Hindu people were killed, massacred, raped, and brutalized in the most barbaric ways. During these 5,000 years of the Hindu Holocaust, not more than 3,000 of these indigenous people groups remain alive, and the total land of Hindu indigenous nations which covered 6 million Km2 of Asia is today reduced to ZERO. This was the biggest “crime against humanity” in world history https://kailaasa.org/persecution/, displacing millions of Hindus, and pushing them into generations of homelessness and statelessness.

As a result, today there is no nation or body to protect Hindu human rights, indigenous rights, and religious rights, to protect the world’s practicing, aspiring, or persecuted Hindus, where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, arts, and culture free from denigration, interference, and violence.

The Hindu Holocaust.

  • By publishing and hosting this article, the Washington Post is endorsing the direct denial of the existence of the Hindu nation KAILASA and is denying our rights, and the denying the Hindu identity. It is the denial of  Hindu human rights, indigenous rights, and religious rights. It is the denial of the right to life, and a denial of the survival of the world’s practicing, aspiring, or persecuted Hindus, where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, arts, and culture free from denigration, interference, and violence. It is an assault on truth and understanding, and it threatens communal understanding of how to safeguard democracy and individual rights.
  • KAILASA and the millions of Hindus from various minority indigenous persecuted Hindu communities that are represented by KAILASA are being ruthlessly and repeatedly HAMMERED again and again into extinction through hate speech, disinformation, lawfare, and atrocity material contained in and perpetuated through these articles such as what was published and hosted by the Washington Post.
  • Like Indigenous people from all over the world, Indigenous Hindu communities have been subjected to centuries of slavery, oppression, forced labor, and sexual exploitation during colonization. Hindus were trafficked as slaves, indentured laborers, and subjected to sexual exploitation during the slave trade during colonization.
  • It has been documented that indigenous communities that were subjected to such colonization are impacted by a 50 times higher prevalence of violence against women (https://theconversation.com/how-colonialism-is-a-major-cause-of-domestic-abuse-against-women-around-the-world-179257). Such is the deep multi-generational impact of the centuries of persecution, slavery, and sexual exploitation done during colonization.
  • Millions of Hindus, have lost their right to life, the right to practice and express their beliefs, spirituality, and religion, right to express their arts and traditions, free from denigration, interference, and violence, during this multi-generational, transnational, colonial racism.
  • The deliberate omission of KAILASA’s and SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam’s substantial contributions, in the news coverage, attributed to racism and anti-religious sentiments, raises serious concerns about the integrity of this news reporting.

KAILASA is the only voice for the Hindu identity of the thousands of persecuted minority indigenous Hindu communities. KAILASA was founded by the community of persecuted indigenous people of minority Adi Shaivite agricultural tribes, and through such vilified, malicious, misguided misinformation campaigns such as what this article is serving, the authors and publishers are persecuting KAILASA’s vulnerable persecuted community even more.

Because of such multigenerational persecution, the Hindu Diaspora has been displaced and now KAILSA is the only safe haven for the extremely vulnerable persecuted minority indigenous Hindu communities and traditions. Despite facing such brutal persecution, Hinduism is the most peaceful and contributing civilization on the planet Earth. Indigenous Hindu nations have lived peacefully for over 10,000 years without invading or colonizing other nations. Hindu civilizations have only contributed selflessly without any hidden agenda.

Contributions Even in the face of persecution

KAILASA’s Contributions Globally

Despite facing all the persecution KAILASA looks forward to the flourishing development of people all around the world.

For the past nearly 30 years KAILASA ecosystems around the world have served over 1 billion[2]  free meals in total. The citizens and volunteers of KAILASA have saved millions[3] of human lives through various disaster relief works such as the 2012 Thane cyclone[4], blood donation camps[5], etc. In May 2021, KAILASA opened its temple-monastic-community premises (Aadheenams) in India to provide multi-layer preventive quarantine as a free service for protecting people from the COVID-19 pandemic. Irrespective of race, religion, caste, nationality, gender, etc., the service was offered completely free of charge to all. In the past three years, through these Preventive Quarantine centers KAILASA saved thousands of lives with zero reported cases of COVID infection.

(Right) 2012: The SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam with the volunteers, citizens, and monks of the Sovereign Order of KAILASA personally cooking a meal for serving more than 50,000 stranded victims of the Thane cyclone disaster.

These are just some of the instances of KAILASA’s humanitarian services, provided through the relentless selfless hard work and sacrifices of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam. The sacrifices and relentless efforts of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam have inspired Hindus all over the world to donate and contribute their time and talent towards these humanitarian causes.

Despite facing such brutal persecution, Hinduism is the most peaceful and contributing civilization on the planet Earth. Indigenous Hindu nations have lived peacefully for more than 10,000 years without invading or colonizing any other nation. Hindu civilizations have only contributed selflessly without any hidden agenda. Likewise, Despite facing all the persecution KAILASA looks forward to the flourishing development of people all around the world.

Through the provision of this substantial medical aid, KAILASA exemplifies its dedication to serve as a catalyst for global change.

As per Hindu economic principles, KAILASA provides basic survival needs, such as healthcare free of cost to everyone.

COVID 19 Response

In May 2021, KAILASA opened its temple-monastic-community premises (Aadheenams) in India to provide multi-layer preventive quarantine as a free service for protecting people from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Irrespective of race, religion, caste, nationality, gender, etc., the service is offered completely free of charge to all. For two decades the spiritual leader of the the Hindu Adi Shaivite minority community the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) Jagat Guru Mahasannidhanam (JGM) His Divine Holiness (HDH) Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam has been creating sustainable townships (enlightenment ecosystems) across more than a hundred cities in several countries. Most of these townships such as the KAILASA’s monastery in India, Bengaluru have been opened to offer multi-layered quarantine as a free public service with free food/accommodation, and free internet to work from home (monastery). In the past four years, through these Preventive Quarantine centers KAILASA saved thousands of lives with zero reported cases of COVID infection. On 9 August 2021, the UN published KAILASA’s report on tackling the COVID-19 pandemic and the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order.[6] In furtherance of more such humanitarian work, in December 2021, the Permanent Ambassador of KAILASA to the United Nations addressed the international community in the OHCRC’s  Forum on Minority Issues highlighting the challenges faced by KAILASA in continuance of its humanitarian mission due to persecution of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam and KAILASA.

Grand Celebration of Guru Purnima Brahmotsavam at KAILASA

Grand Celebration of Guru Purnima Brahmotsavam at KAILASA

June 24, 2023 – KAILASA, the sovereign Hindu nation, is pleased to announce the commencement of the Guru Purnima brahmotsavam, a grand festival honoring the revered Guru, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam. The celebrations began on June 24, 2023, and will culminate on July 3, 2023. The highlight of these celebrations will be the highly anticipated Presidential Address by the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism on July 3, 2023.

Guru Purnima holds immense significance in Hinduism as devotees worldwide pay homage to their respective Gurus on this auspicious day. KAILASA celebrates Guru Purnima as a 10-day-long brahmotsavam, where devotees express their reverence and devotion to the Guru, who guides them on the path to enlightenment and liberation.

The Guru, the highest being in Hinduism, plays a vital role in awakening the consciousness of individuals, imparting knowledge, and leading them to the ultimate experience of Paramashiva, the supreme deity. The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism is formally initiated into all major sampradayas (lineages) of Hinduism, representing the unbroken lineage of enlightened beings tracing back to Paramashiva Himself.

The Guru Purnima brahmotsavam commenced with the sacred Dhvajarohanam ceremony, the hoisting of the temple flag. Devotees and disciples from over 120 countries, as well as temples from India, Canada, Europe, and the USA, gathered to offer their worship to the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism. The ceremonies were also attended by devotees and members of KAILASA embassies worldwide, who joined in observing the religious celebrations with reverence and devotion.

The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) Delivers Empowering Presidential Address on International Yoga Day

21 June 2023: On the auspicious occasion of International Yoga Day, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) delivered a profound and enlightening Presidential Address during a Special LIVE Satsang. With unwavering authority, the SPH reiterated that Yoga is the most precious gift, directly bestowed by MAHAKAILASA and Paramashiva Himself!

In his address, the SPH emphasized the restoration of the essence of true Yoga, as Paramashiva repeatedly manifests and revives the Original Authentic Yoga. He proclaimed that this time, Paramashiva has manifested through the lineage of Arunagiriyogeshwara to bestow this great science of Yoga and initiate its manifestation. With the grace of Paramashiva, directly from the Yogeshwara Sampradaya, Yoga has been delivered in its ultimate form to the SPH, which now serves as the channel for its revival.

“The essence of the truth of Yoga got lost, and Paramashiva happens again and again and revives the Original Authentic Yoga – this time He manifests out of the lineage of Arunagiriyogeshwara to give this great Yoga science and start manifesting it… with the grace of Paramashiva, directly from the Yogeshwara Sampradaya, He delivered Yoga in its ULTIMATE form to Me and He Himself is reviving it through Me!” – SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam

The SPH enlightened the audience about the ultimate benefit of Yoga, which lies in the attainment of union and Oneness with Paramashiva. By practicing ultimate Yoga, individuals can unlock its transformative power and experience its unparalleled advantages.

A Feast of Devotion: Tirujnanasambandar Guru Puja and Annadhan Celebration

The Madurai KAILASA’s Shyamalapeetha Sarvajnapeetham celebrated Nithyananda Pournami Brahmotsavam, the anniversary of the Avatar’s first Nirvikalpa Samadhi, Enlightenment experience, aged 12, as well as the 34th anniversary of His very Avatarhood, a responsibility passed down to Him by His Gurus in 1994 through a ceremonious Yoga Pattabhishekam ritual.

The grand festival celebrations included the 3-day Tirujnanasambandar Guru Puja ritual, an unbroken festive practice celebrating Tirujnanasambandar, an incarnation or Paramashiva Himself, and a prominent member in the lineage of Pontiffs in Madurai Shyamala Peetha Sarvajnapeetha itself. Tirujnanasambandar was one of the 63 Nayanmars who lived with an unquenchable devotion for Paramashiva and His devotees, and the reviver of Paramashiva Bhakti, the practice of personal devotion and emotional connection to the Ultimate Divine Superconsciousness.

The auspicious final day of the Tirujnanasambandar Guru Puja, coinciding with the Nithyananda Pournami, was capped off by a great offering of Annadhan (food donations) to the large crowd in attendance, with 11 different dishes and a total of 4,500 meals being served!
