Origins of Chaturmasya
The venerated Chāturmāsya in Hindu tradition, is the four month period from the 11th day of the waxing moon in the lunar month of Ashadha to the 11 day of the waxing moon of the lunar month Kartika (roughly July to October) of every year. This is the period from Guru Poornima to Vijayadashami. Chāturmāsya is the time the great Hindu incarnations, Seers, Saints, Sanyasis, and all spiritual aspirants observe four fortnights of austerities.
The Narada Parivrajakopanishad, which codifies the conduct of the Sannyasins in detail, lays down that Sannyasis must be moving from place to place to avoid getting entangled with the dealings and habits of the people of the village or town. The Chāturmāsya Vrata.
एकरात्र वसेद् ग्रामे नगरे पञ्चरात्रकम्।
वर्षाभ्योऽन्यत्र वर्षासु मासांश्च चतुरो वसेत्।।
द्वरित्र न वसेद् गरामे भकिषुर्यदविसेत्तदा।
रागादय: प्रसज्येरैंस्तेनासौ नारकी भवेत् ॥ (४-१४, १५)
गरामान्ते नरिजने देशे नयितात्माऽनकितनः ।
पर्यटेत् कीटवद् भूमौ वर्षास्वेकत्र संवसेत्।।

The First Chaturmasya
In celebration of the auspicious events that were continuously taking place, in 1981, The SPH was officially recognized as an incarnation by His gurus and commenced the mission for which He landed as the leader of a Hindu civilizational nation. As it was the first year of His public life, the gurus officially began His royal curriculum and training as the inheritor of all of the sampradayas, or traditions, of Sanātana Hindu Dharma. They ritualistically initiated The SPH into balasanyas (child monkhood), beginning His observance of the Chāturmāsya Vratam (spiritual fast), which He would start at the mere age of 3 continuing till date.
